Do Not Rely On A Single Sales Channel
OTA helps guests find your property, but a healthy property has several guest sources.
OTAs like Traveloka, Agoda, and Booking.com make properties easy to find. However, if almost all guests come from one OTA, your property becomes vulnerable when the listing ranking drops or OTA policies change.
Spread Across Multiple OTAs
Sell rooms on several OTAs simultaneously. Use a channel manager to keep availability and prices synchronized and avoid double bookings.
Build Direct Bookings
Bookings via WhatsApp, phone, or the property’s website are not subject to OTA commissions. Include easy-to-contact information on your Google profile and social media.
Approach Corporate Guests
Offices, agencies, and companies around the property can be a source of regular guests on weekdays.
Don’t Forget Walk-Ins
Prepare clear walk-in rates at the front desk, especially for nights with remaining rooms.
Calculate the cost of each channel, including commissions, then focus efforts on the channels that provide the best net revenue.
